Vacation?

leave a comment »

My checking account is empty due to excessive holiday spending.  Liz’s bunion is gone; however the pain (and suffering) resonates in her foot and throughout the household.  My seventy-five year old mother recently fell down some stairs and ended up with a compression fracture of L3.  She was admitted.  Caroline and Hunter came down with upper respiratory infections complete with every shade mucous ever documented.

So with that said, how am I to respond to my co-workers on Wednesday morning when they ask me how was my vacation? “It’s good to be back!”
